This is Miltoniopsis Breathless 'Florence,'
an orchid that will put out beautiful red flowers, with a white waterfall lip, blending into a yellow center. These are large seedlings, likely to flower within 24 months or so.
The breeding on this mericlone is Miltoniopsis Pink Lady x Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono.
These orchids are freshly repotted in 4-inch pots. Our best guess is that they will bloom in about 18 months.
They currently stand 7 or 8 inches high measured from the bottom of the pot.
We have a bunch of these and we'll pick out a nice one for you. We always ship the largest. A mature plant in bloom would cost $30 to $40 at an orchid show, so be patient, grow this up and voila!
Miltoniopsis orchids are cool growers. Often called "The Pansy Orchid," many of them have a wonderful fresh fragrance.
For home and hobby growers, we recommend them as a house plant. Just give them moderate indirect light, water thoroughly three times a week, fertilize weakly every two weeks. Provide a temperature range of 60 to 75 degrees or so. These do very well under lights. You can buy with confidence.
