Rosemary is a triple threat herb. It's ornamental, its fragrant and its delicious. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible. Simply snip off pieces of the stem as you need it. Rosemary is one of the most fragrant and enticing of herbs. Fresh is infinitely better than dried when cooking.
Can grow from 3 - 5 feet in height or kept small as a container plant. Zones 8-10 after establishment. Full sun to part sun. Does extremely well on poorer soils and tolerates drought and neglect once established.
Where the winter temperatures dip below 30 degrees F., rosemary plants will have to spend the winter indoors. In this case, it's easier to grow your rosemary in a container all year. Since rosemary likes it on the dry side, terra cotta pots are an especially good choice. Just be sure it doesn't bake and completely dry out while outdoors during the summer.
Our sale Rosemary plants are growing and shipped in 4.5-inch pots and are 6-8 inches tall. Although are are shaped like a Christmas Tree, they will not arrive decorated as shown in the picture.
